Shop Information

What are your opening hours?

During our quieter months (October - June) we are open on the following days:

Monday - Saturday: 9am - 5pm

Tuesdays, Sundays & Bank Holidays: Closed

Please note we open 6 days a week, Monday - Saturday between 9am - 5.30pm during the summer months and Easter break.

Do I need to book an appointment to buy uniform in-store?

We do not currently run an appointment system. 

What is your returns policy?

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return or exchange it within 60 days in its original condition and with proof of purchase, either in store or by post.

Original condition means:

  • The product is in its original packaging with original labels intact
  • The product is in good condition and the product can be resold at full price.
  • The product hasn't been used.
  • The product contains no personal data and isn’t registered to a user.

Please note that your right to return items does not apply to products which fall into the following categories unless they are faulty.

  • Goods made or supplied correctly to a special order, including items personalised with pupil's initials or name and includes name tapes.
  • Socks and tights removed from packaging

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

If returning by post, please enclose a COPY OF THE INVOICE and a brief covering letter explaining the reason for the return and whether a refund or a replacement is preferred. If you do not include all of the necessary paperwork then the refund or replacement of your goods may be delayed or not be completed.

Please note, we cannot process exchanges for online orders. Therefore you must place a separate order online for any additional product(s).

What do I do about faulty items?

Faulty items will be inspected & if deemed to be faulty due to a manufacturing fault, Horncastles (Sevenoaks) Limited will credit you for the item to the value when purchased. Due to the nature of Schoolwear faulty items will only be considered for inspection within the first 6 months of purchase. Anything over this time will be dealt with at the discretion of Horncastles (Sevenoaks) Limited. Please make sure to keep your receipt as this will be required should you wish to return or exchange a faulty item.

 

Buying Online

How do I place an order?

Simply click on the school you wish to buy item(s) for, select your item(s) and continue to checkout. We offer both a home delivery and click & collect service.

What happens if an item is out of stock?

Please get in touch with us via our Contact Form or simply call us on 01732 453574 and we can put the item on order for you.

What happens if I want to return an online order?

Simply post back your order to us and we will process a refund for you. All items returned must be in their original condition with tags attached. A copy of the order/receipt must be included. Alternatively, you can always return an online order in-store. Please note we do not offer free postal returns.

Can I exchange an item bought online?

We do not offer online exchanges; however, we can process an exchange in-store. Please note all items must be in their original conditions with tags attached. A copy of the order/receipt will also be required. 

How do I go about choosing the right size?

We have a Measuring and Size Guide page which you can check if you are unsure of what size to choose or need help with measuring your child. If you are still unsure, please don’t hesitate to call us on 01732 453574 and we will be more than happy to help.

How do I care for my garments?

We always recommend following the manufacturer's garment care labels which you can find on each invididual item of clothing. You can find out more information on our Garment Care Guide page.

Accessing your online account

If you have forgotten your password or need to reset your password as a result of the newly relaunched website, simply request a new password reset link. If you do not receive the email to reset your password then you must check your spam/junk folder to see if it has been delivered there. If you are still unable to locate the password email then you will need to create new account on the website by going to the following page:

Miscellaneous

Do you offer any discounts?

We run a 5% offer throughout the month of July in-store and online, and would encourage parents to buy their children’s uniform during the first half of the Summer holidays to avoid any disappointment.
